Who are the leading thinking in learning style?
As i am an international student from China. So i will talk about the leading thinking of China.
China has a long long history. The discussion about learning style has a long long story too. About five hundred years before Christ, an educator called Confucius left the written records. "To learn and to practice what is learned time and again is pleasure.""Exploring the old and deducing the new makes a teacher.""To learn without thinking is labour in vain, to think without learning is desolation.""To acknowledge what is known, and what is not know as not know is knowledge.""Knowledge is not equal to devotion.devotion is not equal to joy."（Confucius,N.D）In the thousands years later, his thoughts always be treated as leading thinking in learning style. He feel we should study with an modest manner. Also we should keep thinking the knowledge and like to gain the now knowledge.
Another sentence we always remember is Mao's words"Study hard and make progress every day" (Maozhedong,1951)It is more like a kind of study manner. As a chairman of China at this time, this words is like call on everyone to study. It showed us how important the study to everyone ,to the country, to the world. It becomes the leading thinking at that time.
Later another famous man called Dengxiaopin said"Computer literacy should start with children"(Dengxiaopin,1984) It is another change in the history of education in China. New time, new learning become the very important part in teaching because of that. It also becomes the leading thinking since that time.
How do they differ?
Confucius is the person in thousands of years age.At that time, people even have not realized what is education. So Confucius is like the first people spread what is real learning, what should people do during study.
Mao's words is a call to Chinese people. He made Chinese people at this time realized the importance of learning. Also he encourage Chinese people go to school. it is a big turning in Chinese history.
Deng's words is another turning in Chinese history. He warn us how important is learning changed follow time.
Their thoughts showed what Chinese teaching most need at this time. So they all become the leading thinking of learning style.
